The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

Fall is here! I can't believe how perfect the weather has been. Daytimes are somewhere around 8-90 degrees, and evenings are a chilly 50. It's just cool enough to wear jeans, but still warm enough to get away with a short sleeved shirt. We've got a few months of the gorgeous weather to look forward to.

I have to say, I will miss the seemingly endless afternoons spent have conscious beside one fabulous pool or another. This summer was so much fun. I got to spend time with a lot of good friends, and make some new ones. (see pictures) I look forward to what the winter has to bring. I'm considering heading up to New York for Christmas. I do so love that city in the winter, but not for more that four days at a time. (Sweet Jesus, it's punishment just to leave the hotel - but the shopping is worth it)

Those afternoons beside the pool were not without purpose. We spent many of them plotting out how best to spend our winter. Coming up first is the New Orleans Halloween trip. This trip is particularly fun for all involved. Consider, if you will, a city composed of people utterly obsessed with their creepy culture of drinking, shrimp and graveyards. I've never seen people put so much thought into their costumes. Very impressive. I'll be making a video again this year. Watch for it. You can see the current one on my website.

Tay Updates

Things have been especially hectic in my world of late. I'm going to touch on a few subjects. First, we'll go through my social life and job, then we'll touch on my contest this evening for the Wet Bar Calendar.

My day job keeps me busy from the moment I roll out of bed (usually somewhere after 10am - god bless america), till I finally black out somewhere after midnight. I love that my job allows me to go out and be a beautiful social butterfly. The marriage of my social and professional lives hasn't been all milk and cookies, however.

It hit me on the dance floor, just before I was to attempt a rather silly dance step. I was all like, "Yo! You can't step up like this, T. You gotta present yourself to these bitches in a professional manner, cuz, what if one of dem wants to buy a house?" Like, really - wow.

So, I'd suppose that I've been growing up. How about that? Before too long, I'll be hob knobbing and rubbing elbows with the elites on Saturday nights, as opposed to dancing around like a shirtless wild man.

In other news, I've been working on refinancing my mother's home. Interesting. I tell you, taking care of friends and family is great, because you love them and you want them to be happy, but you suddenly become a call center for any question they might have, at any time of the day. Gone are the care free days of gossiping about the family's dirty laundry. They've been replaced by endless discussions of papers, signatures, rates and terms. Love you, mom!

Oh, and I'll be bringing sexy back tonight at the Wet Bar, as I compete with 10 other finalists for the cover of the calendar and $3000. Wish me luck. Hopefully, I'll have pictures to post on Monday.

Queen on Queen marriage

Gay marriage has been fucked in another two states. Huzzah for New York and Georgia! Two states renowned for their grasp on the english language, gay bashings and meth labs.

I'm all for a little man on man consensual rape, but we're getting the short end of the sick stick here, people. I'm going to throw a few quotes atchu from a CNN article I recently perused:

Georgia reinstates ban

In Georgia, where three-quarters of voters approved a ban on gay marriage when it was on the ballot in 2004, the top court reinstated the ban Thursday, ruling unanimously that it did not violate the state's single-subject rule for ballot measures.

...

Forty-five states have specifically barred same-sex marriage through statutes or constitutional amendments. Massachusetts is the only state that allows gay marriage, although Vermont and Connecticut allow same-sex civil unions that confer the same legal rights as heterosexual married couples.

...

The New York court said any change in the state's law should come from the state Legislature, Judge Robert Smith wrote. The decision said lawmakers have a legitimate interest in protecting children by limiting marriage to heterosexual couples.

...

It went on to say the law does not deny homosexual couples any "fundamental right" since same-sex marriages are not "deeply rooted in the nation's history and tradition."

*end quotes*

Ok, so a quick rebuttal from yours truly. Wasn't the country under the belief that slavery was a fundamental right at one point? That was deeply rooted in the nations history and tradition, if I recall.

Sweet fuck. Can we just get Hillary in office and get this whole mess worked out? Please? PLEASE!!!!

Sunny San Francisco

I just arrived in northern California last evening after being delayed in the ATL for an hour and a half. What a nightmare that flight was. Let me start off with the seating arrangement. When I was making my reservation, I noticed that the plane had three rows of seating. How interesting, I thought. I hadn't ridden on a triple row since I was a child. I giddishly selected a middle aisle, middle seat. Big mistake.

I arrived at my seat to find an elderly, foreign fellah eagerly awaiting me. He had been watching me since I walked into the plane. A gold, silver and stained brown toothed smile reared at me. With the horrendous open cavern came a smell unlike any I have ever smelled before. The closest I could come to describing it would be the open ass of a 4 day dead donkey... After eating a meat pie.

Gay Days Photos

I've been seriously bad about updating. Sorry all. I'm including some of my personal favorite photos from the Gay Days Orlando trip. Once again, WOW.
